When Medicine Meets the Law
Healthcare professionals may be called upon to participate in legal proceedings but often have limited training regarding courtroom testimony and related ethical responsibilities. This activity will review the ethical and legal obligations of healthcare professionals, strategies for providing accurate and objective testimony, and the importance of documentation, professionalism, and legal compliance when involved in legal proceedings. Participants will gain practical knowledge to strengthen preparedness, reduce professional risk, and support the accurate representation of patient care.
